Where DoAny is different
DoAny builds on its own hosted backend: sign-up and login (including “Continue with Google”), a database with access rules for each record type, file uploads, backend functions and Stripe checkout. That is what a paid community, a client portal or a subscription tool needs. Durable’s pricing FAQ says it “is not designed specifically to support e-commerce businesses.”
On DoAny Free, the first version publishes to yourname.doany.site the same day, and DoAny emails you when it is live. You can send real customers to it and, once you go live with Stripe, take their card payments without paying DoAny anything; Stripe’s own fees still apply. Durable’s Free plan still listed “Free subdomain only” on September 3, 2026; it is now a private preview, so a public Durable site costs $25 for a month, or $264 paid up front for a year (Free plan FAQ).
Every DoAny plan, Free included, covers every company you start, with no per-company fee. All of them draw on one credit balance (5 credits a day, up to 30 a month, on Free; 100 monthly credits plus 5 a day on Pro), and hosting uses none, so no site goes offline when credits run out. Durable publishes no multi-site price, and each added business “gets its own dashboard, website, contacts, and invoices” (add-a-business guide). If each of three test sites needs its own Launch plan, that is $792 a year against $0 on DoAny Free.
DoAny’s Code view shows every source file and its Data view shows every record. You can export code and data, and sync your code to GitHub. Durable documents a customer CSV and Studio image downloads but no page export. If you outgrow DoAny, you leave with your code and your records, not just a customer list.
Durable’s edge
Several of these are things DoAny does not do at all.
Launch includes online booking synced with Google Calendar, with buffers, minimum-notice rules and customer self-service rescheduling and cancelling, according to the bookings page. The sync can respect busy events and auto-cancel bookings you delete in Google (calendar guide), and each service can carry its own prepayment and refund rules (policy guide). DoAny has nothing equivalent built in.
Launch connects your Google Business Profile, adds 10+ personalized directory listings, checks that your business details match across them and sends review requests by email, per its plan table. It tracks how ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Grok rank you, refreshed weekly on Launch and daily on Grow. DoAny’s SEO & AEO switch covers your own site (titles, JSON-LD, sitemap, llms.txt, and sitemap submission to Google Search Console) but not directories or review requests.
One site on Launch billed yearly costs $264 and includes a domain registered free up to a $20 value (Pricing). On DoAny, a custom domain needs Pro, which costs $300 a year with monthly billing only, and you buy the domain from a registrar. Without a custom domain the order flips: DoAny Free publishes on yourname.doany.site and takes real payments on a $0 plan.
With weekly automation switched on, the Blog Agent saves a draft every Tuesday for you to review. Durable’s blog guide shows how to “turn on autopublish.” AI Partner generates a daily social post, 9 AM by default, and emails you a link to it. Annie posts every day too, but chooses the feeds and communities herself.
Launch includes priority live chat and advanced site analytics; Grow adds a 1:1 onboarding call with a Durable expert, per its plan table. DoAny offers email and in-app live chat, and has no visitor analytics dashboard.
Two more limits matter in this matchup. DoAny has no drag-and-drop editor: you edit by telling Annie what to change. And the checkout on the sites DoAny builds is Stripe only, with no coupons, free trials or sales-tax handling at the moment.

Before you pay yearly
Renewal notice. Durable’s terms renew your plan automatically unless you give written notice “not less than 30 days prior to the end” of it. On a yearly plan, cancel well before the renewal date. Durable may also change fees on each anniversary of your term with at least 30 days’ notice.
No refunds. The terms state that “Fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable.”
Usage beyond your plan. If your use “exceeds a reasonable service capacity,” the terms say you “will be billed for such usage.” The pricing page lists no top-ups and doesn’t define that capacity. DoAny works the other way: when credits run out, work pauses and nothing is charged.
Your data. You keep ownership of your Customer Data, and Durable assigns you the output it generates. The terms still give Durable an “irrevocable, sublicensable” license to that data. That includes use to “improve and enhance the Durable SaaS Services and its other offerings.” The Durable privacy policy lists “To train machine learning models” as a use of the data it collects, except data from Google Workspace APIs.
Deletion window. Durable’s terms keep your account and data for seven days after you ask for deletion, then delete them permanently. Export first.
Getting paid
Both run payments through Stripe and add no fee of their own. The difference is what customers can buy, and what you see after they pay.
You turn on payments by giving Stripe your business details and a bank account for payouts. Every invoice then carries a secure payment link, according to Durable’s payments guide. Booking payments follow the policy you set for each service. For products, Durable’s February 2025 selling guide pastes a Stripe payment link into a button.
When you go live, customers pay through direct charges on your own Stripe account, a Stripe Express account DoAny opens for your business. You are the merchant and checkout shows your business name; Stripe pays your bank on its normal schedule and DoAny holds none of it. Nothing to connect by hand, and taking payments uses no credits.
Ask Annie to sell something: a product, a session, a booking or a subscription. She replies with an approval card, “Set up payments” and “Not now,” and builds nothing until you press one.
A booking sells as a one-off purchase, so buy one in the editor preview with Stripe’s test cards before Stripe sees your details (payments setup guide). Durable, by contrast, attaches Stripe to invoices and booking policies.
Press Go live in the Payments panel, pick your country and complete Stripe’s verification. Selling works on the Free plan, where Durable’s Free plan is a private preview. The selling online chapter has the full steps, from first product to first payout.
Switching

In Durable’s Customers list, tick the box at the top of the Name column to select everyone, then click the Download icon. Durable’s export guide says the file is “typically a .csv”.
Copy your page text and blog posts, and download the Studio images you want to keep: Durable says a Studio design downloads as a high-resolution file. Plan to replace Durable’s Getty Images and Unsplash stock photos, which are licensed for use inside Durable only.
Hand Annie the customer records you exported and the page text you saved. DoAny imports existing code and database records, so you don’t start over; because Durable has no page export, Annie builds the pages from your saved text. Check the preview, then run a test purchase.
Under Durable’s transfer policy, a domain bought through Durable can move after three consecutive months of active subscription with no outstanding payments, and Durable’s team handles the EPP code. Durable’s pricing FAQ says the transfer takes a couple of weeks. Then connect the domain in DoAny’s Domains panel on Pro: DoAny shows the DNS records, verifies them and issues HTTPS. Records proxied through Cloudflare (the orange cloud) aren’t supported, so switch proxying off.
Checkout on a DoAny site can’t take over an existing Stripe account yet. Going live opens a new Stripe Express account for your DoAny business, so finish open invoices, refunds and upcoming bookings in Durable first.
In Durable, open Settings inside the business you are closing, go to Billing and click Cancel Plan. On a yearly term, send written notice at least 30 days before renewal. Deleting a business is irreversible and, per Durable’s deletion guide, removes its site, customers and assets.
Common questions
It depends on whether you need your own domain. With one, yes: Durable Launch costs $264 a year, including a domain registered free up to $20, against $300 for DoAny Pro plus a domain you buy. Without one, DoAny costs less: DoAny Free publishes a public site for $0 and can take real card payments, while Durable’s cheapest public site is Launch at $25 a month. Three ideas: DoAny Free covers all three companies for $0 on one shared credit balance; three Launch sites cost $792.
Neither does. Durable says it “does not add additional fees” on top of Stripe’s processing rates. DoAny takes 0% of your sales on every plan, Free included, and its standard Terms rule out a revenue share. Stripe’s own fees apply on both: 2.9% + 30¢ per successful domestic card charge in the US.
Not publicly any more. Durable’s Free plan now lets you build and share a private preview on the durable.site subdomain, and a site that can be found on Google starts at $22 a month. DoAny’s Free plan publishes your product to its own yourname.doany.site address with HTTPS, with no credit card, and can take real card payments once you go live with Stripe.
Not in the same way. DoAny has no bookings module like Durable’s and no SMS reminders; sessions, bookings and tickets sell as one-off purchases through Stripe checkout. Your customer list exports from Durable as a CSV. A domain bought through Durable can transfer after three consecutive months of active subscription; then connect it in DoAny’s Domains panel on Pro. DoAny imports existing code and database records, so hand Annie the customer records you exported and you don’t start over; Durable documents no page export, so Annie builds the pages from the text you saved. Payments start fresh on a new Stripe Express account, so settle open Durable invoices first.
Durable’s privacy policy, last updated October 13, 2025, lists “To train machine learning models” among the uses of the data it collects, with a carve-out for data from Google Workspace APIs. Its terms also give Durable an irrevocable, sublicensable license to your Customer Data. DoAny does not train AI models on your data.
