Your customer and message

Change the populated details to make this your own. The wording is assembled locally from these facts.

Use the direct link from your Business Profile. Without it, the message asks the customer to find your business on Google.

Use it from an AI browser

This page has site tools: actions an AI agent can call directly, with no plugin or API key. The ChatGPT desktop app’s browser can use them where site tools are available, and so can Chrome with WebMCP turned on. The agent works on this page, with the same steps and limits as its buttons, so you can check the result before you use it.

Open doany.ai/tools/review-request-template and write a text message from Greenway Lawn Care asking our customer Marcus for an honest Google review of his spring lawn clean-up, signed Tom.

Site tools work only while this page is open. They never send messages, invoices or payments for you.

Keep your review request template focused on honest feedback

A review request template should refer to a real completed service and make sharing honest feedback easy. Keep the request neutral and check your destination before sending.

  1. Use the completed job details

Replace the starting business, customer and service in the review request template with the completed job. Use the same neutral request approach across your eligible customers.

  2. Add your direct Google review link

Copy your own review link from Business Profile → Read Reviews → Get more reviews into the review request template. If you leave it blank, the message explains how to find your business on Google.

  3. Choose a channel and review the wording

Select SMS, Email or Gentle follow-up. Edit the text, check that the customer has not already reviewed you, then copy it into your existing communication workflow.

Use the right request for the moment

The review request template provides wording; your actual job and communication records determine whether and when to use it.

  • After a cleaning or home-service visit

    What to change

Name the completed service in the review request template so the customer recognizes it. Add the direct link from your own Business Profile.

    Before you use it

Invite an honest experience rather than a particular star rating. Do not offer a gift or discount for a review.

  • After a workshop or booked appointment

    What to change

Use Email if the customer expects an email receipt or thank-you. Keep the subject clear and the request short.

    Before you use it

Review the channel and communication preferences. Do not imply that a review is required.

  • A request was missed

    What to change

Use Gentle follow-up, which thanks people who already reviewed and makes further action optional.

    Before you use it

Check the actual review and message history before sending. This page cannot detect a review or stop a campaign.

Check your review request template before sending

  • The customer had a genuine experience with your business.
  • You ask for honest feedback without influencing rating or review content.
  • You do not filter recipients to ask only happy customers.
  • Your link goes to your own Business Profile and your channel is appropriate.

A review request is different from a review reply

The review request template helps you ask a customer to describe their own experience. The review response generator helps you respond after a review exists. Neither page writes a review on behalf of a customer or submits a message.

A direct link reduces the customer’s next steps

Add the link from your actual Business Profile to the review request template instead of guessing a Place ID or choosing a similarly named business. The review link tool can turn your supplied link into a downloadable QR code or review card.

Questions about this tool

How do I ask a customer for a Google review?

Use the review request template to thank the customer for their completed service and invite an honest review. Add your direct Business Profile review link when available. Check the customer and wording before sending through your normal channel.

What is a good review request SMS?

Use a recognizable business name, a brief reference to the completed service, a neutral request for honest feedback and your review link. Select SMS here for that format and edit it before copying.

How do I write a review request email?

Use a clear subject, thank the customer, ask for honest feedback and make the review destination easy to find. Select Email in the review request template for an editable subject and body based on your details.

Where do I find my Google review link?

In your Google Business Profile, select Read Reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the review link. Paste the complete HTTPS link here. The tool checks the supported link shape but does not verify business ownership or follow redirects.

Can I offer a discount or ask for five stars?

Google prohibits incentives for reviews and attempts to influence the rating or content. These templates ask for honest feedback without a discount, gift or requested star rating. Check Google’s current policies before running a review campaign.

Should I only ask happy customers for reviews?

No. Google’s policy prohibits selectively soliciting positive reviews. Use a neutral request approach for eligible customers with a genuine experience, including those whose feedback may be critical.

What happens if I do not have a review link yet?

Leave it blank. The finished message tells the customer to find your business on Google and choose Write a review, so there is no unfilled link placeholder. A direct link is usually easier once you have copied your own.

Does this send requests or track new reviews?

No. The review request template assembles editable wording locally. It does not send SMS or email, connect to Google, monitor reviews or run automatic follow-ups. Check your actual records before using the Gentle follow-up wording.
