Where DoAny is different

DoAny vs Lovable: five differences that change your month

The Pro sticker price is a tie. These are the differences a founder notices on the bill, on a bad day, and three months after launch.

Hosting stays off the meter

In DoAny, keeping your site, database, files and functions online uses no credits. The pricing FAQ says it plainly: “Hosting is included.” DoAny pricing FAQ.

Lovable uses one credit balance for building, hosting and running its Cloud backend (Lovable Cloud). Hosting starts on a 20-credit monthly grant its docs call a “temporary offering, subject to change”. Project usage.

What it means: more visitors and more records never eat the credits you meant for building. Only AI features your customers use draw on the balance.

You can sell before you pay

On DoAny’s Free plan you can press Go live, complete Stripe’s verification and take real card payments (Setting up payments). DoAny takes 0% of your sales on every plan; Stripe’s fees apply.

Lovable’s built-in payments “require a paid Lovable plan”; on its Free plan you connect your own Stripe account instead. Lovable payments.

What it means: your first sales cost $0 in plan fees. Upgrade to Pro when you want your own domain or more than 30 credits a month.

Customers keep logging in at zero

When a DoAny balance hits zero, only AI work pauses: Annie’s tasks and the AI features inside your app. Lovable’s built-in backend services “pause shortly after you run out of credits”. Credits and usage.

What it means: sign-ups, logins and saved records keep working while you decide whether to top up.

Your work is not training data

DoAny doesn’t train AI models on your data. For data your site collects, its privacy policy adds that DoAny processes it on your behalf and doesn’t use it for unrelated advertising. DoAny privacy policy.

Since September 9, 2026, Lovable may train on Free and Pro prompts, attachments, code, project files and outputs unless each person switches off “Use my Lovable content for model training”. Opting out works going forward only. Lovable training opt-out.

What it means: no toggle to find, and no teammate who forgot to flip it.

Someone keeps working after launch

DoAny researches your idea and market before it builds. After launch, Annie posts every day in the feeds and communities your buyers already trust, finds prospects and follows up, runs your CRM, and answers customers around the clock, even at 2am. DoAny homepage.

Lovable can run recurring work through Jobs, billed as Cloud usage, and through Chats that act in connected tools after you approve. You design and maintain those flows yourself. Jobs.

What it means: the growth work arrives with the product instead of becoming your next build project.

Both products ask before consequential steps.

  • DoAny: the big calls wait on an approval card: turning on payments, a paid video render, a new recurring job, connecting an outside account and saving an automation. Typing “yes” in chat never counts; it takes the button.
  • Lovable: it asks for approval in the chat before a Chat creates, sends or changes anything through a connected tool (Lovable Chats). Some approvals can be saved as “Always allow”, such as handing work to your projects, and its Cloud tools, including changing database records, default to “Always allow” (Cloud permissions).

Credit where it’s due

Where Lovable is stronger

A Lovable fan would list these, and they would be right. If any of them is a must-have, Lovable is the better pick.

Price

Yearly discount and rollover

Lovable Pro costs $250 a year for 100 credits a month, $50 less than 12 months at $25. At 10,000 credits a month the yearly price is $22,500 against $27,000. Lovable plans. Unused monthly credits roll over for a month (Lovable pricing). DoAny has no yearly plan, and its monthly credits end with the billing month.

Editing

Edits on the preview

In Lovable you can fix text inline on the preview, with 100 free inline text edits that each come back 24 hours after use, and select an element to point the agent at it. Edit from the preview. DoAny is chat only: you tell Annie what to change. DoAny saves every change as a numbered version but has no one-click rollback screen.

Integrations

A real connector catalog

Lovable lists connectors for payments, messaging, CRM and productivity, such as Slack, Notion and HubSpot, plus custom REST connectors and your own MCP servers (a standard way for agents to reach outside tools). Connectors. DoAny has no marketplace; Annie reaches other services by writing a backend function that uses your API key.

Teams

Collaborators and SSO

Lovable allows unlimited collaborators even on Free, and adds SSO on Business, then SCIM (automatic user provisioning) and audit logs on Enterprise. Lovable pricing. DoAny Free includes one team member, and DoAny has no SSO.

Payments

Merchant of record, trials and codes

Lovable offers Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and handles tax and compliance, and supports free trials and discount codes. It can also link a Stripe account you already have. Payments. Checkout on the sites DoAny builds is Stripe only at the moment. That checkout has no coupons, free trials or sales tax and VAT handling, and can’t bring in an existing Stripe account yet.

Track record

Scale and Git options

Lovable reported $500 million in annualized revenue in June 2026 and hosts 60 million projects (TechCrunch, August 2026). It syncs with three Git providers and sells domains in the product. DoAny syncs code to GitHub and doesn’t sell domains.

Arithmetic on published prices

Lovable pricing vs DoAny pricing: the same $25, priced out

Prices as published on September 25, 2026, before tax. The Cloud usage levels are illustrative: Lovable’s docs list no rate per instance size, and Advanced settings estimates your own monthly Cloud credits from the last 30 days.

Swipe to compare every column.

Worked example: 40 one-off sales a month of a $49 digital product, $1,960 in monthly sales, at three illustrative hosting loads

Paddle at 5% + 50¢ per saleNot offered40 × $2.95 = $118.00, with sales tax handled

The Stripe line uses Stripe’s published US rate for domestic cards, 2.9% + 30¢ (Stripe pricing); Stripe’s fees apply on both platforms and vary by country. The example uses one-off sales; on subscriptions, Stripe Billing may add 0.7% of subscription volume on any Stripe-based platform. Paddle’s rate comes from Lovable’s payments page, which also notes that Paddle takes digital products and software, with a flat 10% on sales under $10.

Neither takes a platform fee. DoAny’s standard DoAny Terms rule out equity and revenue share, and Lovable says using Stripe or Paddle through it costs the same as going to the provider directly.

How to read it:

  1. Hosting is the line that grows with success. On DoAny it stays at $0 however busy the app gets. On Lovable, every 20 Cloud credits past the grant costs $5 at the plan rate. At 120 credits of Cloud usage a month, all 100 of Pro’s monthly credits go to keeping the app running, and building runs on the 5 daily build credits. On Lovable Free, nothing covers Cloud use past the grant, since top-ups are sold on Pro and Business, so the built-in backend pauses (Credits and usage).
  2. If Free’s 30 credits a month cover your changes, DoAny takes these sales with no plan fee: $1,960 − $68.84 Stripe = $1,891.16 kept. Lovable’s built-in checkout needs Pro: $1,960 − $68.84 − $25 = $1,866.16, before any Cloud usage past the grant. On Lovable Free you would connect your own Stripe account instead.
  3. Neither takes a cut: Stripe costs $68.84 on this month’s sales on both.
  4. Paddle costs $49.16 more than Stripe here, but it handles sales tax and VAT; the checkout on the sites DoAny builds doesn’t at the moment.
  5. Prepaying Lovable for a year saves $50 ($250 vs $300); DoAny bills monthly only.
  6. Lovable Business doubles the credit price to $0.50 for SSO and workspace-wide training exclusion; DoAny has one Pro price.

The flow that matters most

Lovable credits at zero: what your customers see

Picture a membership app on the 20th of the month with the credits used up.

DoAny

The product keeps serving

Pages load, customers sign up and log in, records save and checkout takes payments. What pauses is AI work: Annie’s tasks and the AI features inside your app. DoAny tells you and charges nothing extra: “No overage, no automatic recharge.” Run it solo. On Pro, add a $15 top-up; on Free, upgrade or wait for tomorrow’s 5 daily credits (up to 30 a month). Work continues where it stopped.

Lovable

Pages serve; the backend pauses

Lovable’s docs say the published site keeps serving and AI features in deployed apps stop working. Built-in backend services pause shortly after the balance runs out; the database, storage and authentication data stay safe but can’t be accessed or exported until the services run again. Credits and usage. For a membership app, logins depend on that backend.

Lovable’s answer is opt-in auto top-up on Pro and Business: it buys credits when the balance falls to a threshold you set, with an optional monthly spend limit (Project usage). That keeps the backend up by charging your card. DoAny’s backend stays up with no top-up at all.

Before you commit

Lovable fine print: terms, training and subdomains

Four details that are not on the pricing page

Training license. Lovable’s Terms, updated August 28, 2026, grant it a “worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license” over customer data for its business purposes, which include training AI models. The Terms add that Lovable will honor a request to stop future use “free of charge and regardless of your plan”. Lovable Terms. The training toggle (next item) is the in-product way to do that for training.

Opt-out is per person. The training setting covers your own account and “does not change the setting of other members”, so each teammate on Free or Pro opts out separately. Training opt-out.

Long runs, soft limits. Since August 26, 2026 a build message can run for up to 10 hours (changelog). By default, a run pauses for your go-ahead each time a message passes another 20 credits. That is “a notification threshold, not a hard cap”: it can overshoot slightly, and you can raise the level or turn it off (credits and usage). The Terms say credits are consumed “regardless of the outcome” (Terms).

lovable.app subdomains can be reclaimed. On any plan, Lovable may reclaim a lovable.app subdomain “at our sole discretion”, generally with 7 days’ notice, and advises custom domains for mission-critical apps. Lovable Terms.

First-hand

What you’ll see in DoAny, from idea to first payment

This is the path a non-technical founder takes in DoAny. No keys to paste, no hosting account, and no paid plan needed to take the first payment.

  1. Describe the company

Tell Annie the idea in a sentence or two, in any language. She researches the idea and your market first, so you see whether it holds up before anything ships.

  2. The first version goes live

During the first build the site publishes to its own yourname.doany.site address with HTTPS, and DoAny emails you when it is live. After that, changes land on a private preview, and the live site changes only when you press Publish. A failed build never replaces the working version.

  3. Approve payments on a card

Ask for checkout and Annie shows an approval card with two buttons: “Set up payments” or “Not now”. The work waits, marked as needing you, until you press one.

  4. Buy your own product with test cards

The editor preview takes Stripe test cards such as 4242 4242 4242 4242, so you can run a full purchase before giving Stripe any details. Nothing is charged. Setting up payments.

  5. Press Go live

In the Payments panel, press Go live, pick your country and complete Stripe’s own verification. It works on the Free plan, and a sole trader is fine. Payments are charged on your own Stripe account, the checkout shows your business name, and payouts reach your bank on Stripe’s schedule.

  6. Check the work yourself

The Code view shows every source file and the Data view every record. Turn on SEO & AEO with one switch; its checklist explains what to fix, and “Fix with AI” hands the fixes to Annie.

Switching notes

Moving from Lovable to DoAny

Do the Lovable steps while your balance is above zero. A paused Cloud backend cannot be exported. DoAny imports the code and database records you export, so you don’t start over.

  1. Take your code

Sync the project to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket Cloud, or use Download codebase on a paid plan. Keep that repo: it is your copy of the code, and what you bring to DoAny. GitHub sync.

  2. Export the database

Advanced settings exports databases up to 15 GB into a file of at most 5 GB, once every 24 hours. Storage files, Edge Function code (the small server programs behind your app) and secrets are not in it, and sign-in provider settings must be set up again. Database export. Lovable supports only Supabase as a destination for the Cloud backend. Hosting and ownership.

  3. Hand the export to Annie

Bring your exported code and database records; DoAny imports them, so you don’t start over, and the app runs on DoAny’s hosted backend. Compare the preview with your Lovable app screen by screen and tell Annie what to change. Storage files come across separately, and secrets go into DoAny’s Secrets vault.

  4. Plan payments and customers

Checkout on a DoAny site can’t take over an existing Stripe account yet; Go live opens a new one for the business. Existing subscriptions stay with the Stripe or Paddle account that holds them, so decide how current members move before you switch. Passwords don’t come across automatically, so tell customers how they will sign in again, for example by resetting their password.

  5. Move the domain

On DoAny Pro, connect the domain in the Domains panel; DoAny shows the DNS records, verifies them and issues HTTPS. Keep any Cloudflare proxy switched off. A domain bought through Lovable can be transferred out with an authorization code once it is 60 days past registration. Lovable domains.

  6. Cancel last

Cancelling moves the workspace to Free at the end of the billing period. Unused monthly and rolled-over credits then freeze; resubscribing before they expire brings them back, and the expiry date doesn’t move (Lovable Terms). The plans doc says top-ups bought while subscribed stay usable on Free until they expire (Lovable plans), though the Terms say paid credits “may be used only while your subscription is active”. Spend your monthly credits on the export first.

Questions

DoAny vs Lovable FAQ

Is DoAny cheaper than Lovable?

Same sticker price, different coverage. Both Pro plans cost $25 for 100 credits plus 5 a day, with top-ups at $15 per 50. DoAny’s hosting uses none of those credits; Lovable’s Cloud hosting and backend draw on them once a 20-credit monthly grant is used. Lovable is cheaper if you prepay a year ($250 instead of $300). For built-in checkout, DoAny costs less: its Free plan ($0) can take real card payments, while Lovable’s built-in payments start at Pro ($25).

Does Lovable train AI models on my project?

On Free and Pro it may, by default, since September 9, 2026. That covers prompts and attached files, code, project files, generated outputs and usage data, unless you turn off “Use my Lovable content for model training” in Account settings. The opt-out applies going forward and to your own account only. Business and Enterprise workspaces are excluded by default. DoAny doesn’t train AI models on your data.

What happens to my app when my credits run out?

In DoAny, the site, database, files and functions stay online and only AI work pauses: Annie’s tasks and the AI features inside your app. There are no overage charges and no automatic recharges. In Lovable, published pages keep serving and AI features stop, and built-in backend services such as the database and sign-in pause shortly after the balance runs out; Lovable says you cannot access or export that data until the services run again.

Can I take my code with me?

Yes, from both. In DoAny you export code and data and sync code to GitHub. Lovable syncs two ways with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket Cloud, offers a zip download on paid plans and exports the Cloud database (up to 5 GB). Storage files and Edge Function code move separately, secrets and sign-in settings must be set up again, and Supabase is the only supported Cloud destination. Moving to DoAny, you bring the exported code and records and DoAny imports them.

Does either one take a cut of my sales?

No. Both take 0% of your sales. You still pay the payment provider: Stripe’s fees in DoAny, and Stripe’s or Paddle’s fees in Lovable. Paddle charges 5% + 50¢ per transaction and acts as merchant of record, handling sales tax and VAT. The checkout on the sites DoAny builds is Stripe only at the moment and leaves sales tax to you.

Can I sell on DoAny’s free plan?

Yes. On DoAny’s Free plan you can press Go live, complete Stripe’s verification and take real card payments, and DoAny takes 0% of your sales on every plan; Stripe’s fees apply. Custom domains and top-ups need Pro, while every plan, Free included, can run unlimited companies on one credit balance. Lovable’s built-in payments require a paid plan, Pro at $25 or above; on Lovable’s Free plan you connect your own Stripe account instead.

Which is better for a non-technical founder?

If you want a business running rather than an app to maintain, DoAny. It researches the idea first, builds the product with accounts, data and checkout, hosts it without touching your credits, and keeps working after launch on posting, outreach and customer answers. If you want to shape the app yourself with preview editing, a large connector catalog and team features such as SSO, Lovable.
