DoAny vs Twin: build the company, or automate the job?

Twin runs recurring agent jobs across 5,000+ apps and the web, from €20 a month. DoAny builds the business itself: a hosted site with accounts and checkout, $0 to start, with credits that stop hard instead of recharging.

runs

30 runs of a simple automation use 450–900 Twin credits a month: Twin Mini, built for jobs like this, holds them for $20 a month. DoAny Free’s $0 covers the business around it instead: a hosted site with checkout that can take real card payments, 0% of your sales (Stripe’s fees apply), and credits that stop hard.

  • A Twin credit and a DoAny credit buy different work, so both columns show a plan price a month and neither is marked lowest: DoAny’s is what its plan costs, not what these runs would cost on DoAny.
  • Credits a run are Twin’s rules of thumb: 15–30 for a simple automation, 100–200 for a 20-step browser session. Its builder shows an exact forecast before you launch.
  • The month you build the agent, add 3–10 runs’ worth: 45–300 credits here, because Twin says repeat runs are typically 3–10x cheaper than the build.
  • Twin also sells one-time top-ups at the same tiered prices, valid for 6 months while you’re subscribed, so a month a little past a tier can be topped up instead of moving up a tier.
  • Twin’s docs list monthly tiers of 2,000 to 50,000 credits, from $20 to $463, and its pricing page adds Max, €882 for 100,000. Twin lists euros; its docs say the US dollar price is the same number. Prices exclude tax.
  • Twin’s pricing page lists top-up as Manual on Mini and “Auto” on Mini+ and Pro, without saying whether you can switch that off. Unused credits roll over on those three plans.
  • Twin’s 14-day trial gives up to 3,600 credits with no card; the totals count a paid month.
  • DoAny takes 0% of your sales on every plan, Free included; Stripe’s processing fees still apply to what you sell.
  • DoAny Free’s $0 holds as long as 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month, covers your work; Pro, from $25 a month, adds 100 monthly credits.
  • At zero credits, DoAny pauses AI work and tells you, with no overage or automatic recharge, and the site stays live. Top-ups are Pro only.

How we calculated this
  1. Twin credits: 30 runs × 15–30 credits = 450–900 a month.
  2. Smallest Twin tier for 450 credits: Mini, 2,000 credits for €20 ($20).
  3. 900 credits, the high end, fit the same tier.
  4. DoAny Free: $0 a month, the most it bills. Its credits stop hard, and top-ups are Pro only.

The case for DoAny

Where DoAny is different

Both products take 0% of your sales (Stripe’s fees apply on both), so that isn’t the difference here. These four are.

Nothing recharges without your click

DoAny credits stop hard. At zero, AI work pauses, DoAny tells you and nothing recharges (DoAny run-it-solo guide). On Free, which can take real payments, the month costs $0; on the $25 Pro plan, the cap is $25 plus any top-ups you start yourself.

Twin’s docs say a build already running finishes and paid users “can top up or wait for renewal” (Twin Build vs Run docs), but its pricing lists top-up as “Auto” on Mini+ and Pro without saying whether you can switch that off (Twin pricing). Its blog describes a monthly budget “gone in days” when an agent is set to run too often (Twin run-budgets post).

You sell a product, not an agent

On Twin Store the product is an agent subscription, and every subscriber’s agent runs on your credits (Twin Store), so each new subscriber adds to your credit use. Twin’s Interfaces docs cover sign-ups and a database but document no code export or custom domain (Twin Interfaces docs).

DoAny builds the whole product: accounts with “Continue with Google”, a database, file uploads, email in your app’s name and Stripe checkout, on hosting that uses no credits, and it can take real payments on the Free plan. A new customer adds credit use only when AI works for them.

One agent runs the whole company

Twin asks about your business, proposes the jobs worth handing over, and builds a team of agents, each with its own memory, files and schedule (Twin homepage). DoAny starts from the business: Annie researches your idea and market before anything is built, builds and hosts the product, then posts every day, finds customers, runs your CRM and answers them around the clock (DoAny homepage). Turning on payments and new recurring jobs wait for your button.

What’s built is yours to take

DoAny’s Terms say you own the websites, software and copy generated for you (DoAny Terms), and you can export your code and data anytime or sync the code to GitHub. Twin’s T&C, last updated May 9, 2025, have no clause giving you ownership of outputs (Twin T&C).

The case for Twin

Where Twin is stronger

Where these matter to you, Twin is the better pick. For portal and browser work, DoAny has no equivalent at all.

No API needed

Portal and browser work

Twin’s agent runs a real browser on an isolated cloud computer, pauses for you to log in, then keeps the cookies for the next run (Twin Web Agent docs). DoAny has no browser agent, so a daily job inside a supplier portal belongs on Twin.

Connections

Thousands of apps and event triggers

Twin connects to 5,000+ apps, writes a missing integration itself, and starts agents on a schedule or the moment an email lands (Twin homepage). DoAny has no big connector marketplace.

Security review

SOC 2 reports and EU hosting

Twin’s pricing page shows ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type I and SOC 2 Type II badges that link to its trust center (Twin pricing). Its privacy policy says customer data is hosted primarily in the EU (Twin privacy policy). If a customer’s security questionnaire asks for those reports, Twin can point to them and DoAny can’t. DoAny also has no SSO.

Credits

Rollover and a bigger trial

Unused Twin credits roll over on Mini, Mini+ and Pro (Twin pricing), and the 14-day trial gives up to 3,600 credits (Twin pricing docs). DoAny’s monthly credits end with the billing month, and its Free plan is 5 credits a day.

Cost controls

A forecast before you launch

Before a build you choose high or low reasoning, repeat runs are “typically 3-10x cheaper” than the build, and idle agents cost nothing (Twin pricing docs). The builder also shows an exact run-cost forecast “before you launch anything” (Twin pricing). Twin’s blog adds that it pauses an agent and notifies you after repeated failures, and shows run budgets (Twin run-budgets post).

Versions

Rollback in Interfaces

Twin Interfaces keep versions you can compare and roll back to (Twin Interfaces docs). DoAny saves every change as a numbered version, but has no one-click rollback, and editing is by chat only.

Selling an agent

A ready storefront for agent subscriptions

Twin Store has 23 templates, such as Cartwright at $79 a month, publishes the agent as an app with login and Stripe checkout at 0% commission, and looks for first customers on Upwork, Reddit and LinkedIn (Twin Store).

Proof

Templates and customer stories

Twin’s homepage offers 257 agent templates and profiles 30 businesses whose agents, it says, come from its production database (Twin homepage).

Cost

Twin pricing vs DoAny pricing: what a month costs

Arithmetic on published prices. A Twin credit and a DoAny credit buy different work, so we price jobs, not credits. Twin lists euros; its docs say the dollar price is the same number, and list monthly tiers of 2,000 credits ($20), 5,000 ($50), 10,000 ($95), 20,000 ($189), 30,000 ($282), 40,000 ($373) and 50,000 ($463). Paid subscribers can also buy one-time top-ups at the same tiered prices, valid for 6 months while the subscription is active (Twin pricing docs).

€20

Twin Mini a month, for 2,000 credits or about 20 tasks (Twin pricing).

€0.01

One Twin credit on the smaller plans (Twin tips docs); €0.00882 on Max (€882 ÷ 100,000). Plans assume about 100 credits, or €1, a task (Twin pricing).

100–200

Twin credits for one 20-step browser session. A simple automation is 15–30 (Twin pricing).

$25

DoAny Pro a month: 100 monthly credits plus 5 a day, and your own domain. Hosting and live Stripe checkout already come with Free at $0 (DoAny pricing).

0

DoAny credits to keep your site, database and checkout online (DoAny pricing). Credits pay only for AI work: Annie’s, such as answering customers and posting, and any AI features inside your app.

$15

A 50-credit DoAny top-up on Pro, bought at a Stripe checkout you start. Nothing recharges on its own (DoAny run-it-solo guide).

A daily API report on Twin30 runs × 15–30 credits = 450–900 credits. The build costs 3–10× one run: 45–300 more.Fits Mini’s 2,000 credits for €20.
A daily 20-step portal job on Twin30 runs × 100–200 credits = 3,000–6,000 credits (€30–60). The build adds 300–2,000.Too big for Mini. Mini+ (5,000 credits, €50) covers the low end; above that, Twin’s docs list 10,000 credits for €95 (Twin pricing docs), or you top up.
A Twin Store agent sold at $79 a monthPer subscriber, a daily browser run: 3,000–6,000 credits ≈ $30–60. A daily API run: 450–900 credits ≈ $4.50–9.Margin before Stripe fees: $19–49 (24–62%) with the browser, $70–74.50 (89–94%) without. An illustration: Twin doesn’t say how often its $79 Cartwright template runs (Twin Store).
The same Twin Store agent with 40 subscribers40 × $79 = $3,160 in sales. Daily API runs: 40 × 450–900 = 18,000–36,000 credits a month. Daily browser runs: 40 × 3,000–6,000 = 120,000–240,000.API-only needs the 20,000-credit tier (€189) to 40,000 tier (€373) (Twin pricing docs); browser-heavy runs past Max’s 100,000 (€882). Each subscriber’s agent uses your credits.
A $29 membership with 40 members on DoAny, which takes $0 of it40 × $29 = $1,160. Plan: $0 on Free, which can take real payments, so you keep $1,160 − $0 = $1,160; on Pro, $1,160 − $25 = $1,135.Hosting and checkout use no credits at 40 members or 400. Annie’s work, such as answering questions and follow-ups, and in-app AI features use credits, within the caps below.
DoAny’s worst case, on Free or the $25 Pro planFree: $0, because top-ups are Pro only. Pro: $25 + only the top-ups you start, at $15 per 50 credits.Nothing more. At zero credits AI work pauses and the site stays live.

Read before you sign

The fine print in Twin’s terms

Four things to read before you connect client data

Your data. Twin’s T&C, last updated May 9, 2025, license your Service Data “during the Term extended by a further 3 years”, including to provide services to third parties, and take a “perpetual, irrevocable” license to data from your use of the service (Twin T&C). The newer privacy policy, below, is narrower.

Renewal. The contract renews every month, and ending it takes “fifteen (15) days’ written notice”. Fees may rise at renewal “if it is communicated to the Customer within forty-five days of renewal” (Twin T&C).

Publicity. Twin may use your company name and logo as a commercial reference during the contract and for two years after it ends. French law and the French courts govern the contract (Twin T&C).

Shared memory. Twin’s launch post says agent memory is shared across agents “and soon across users” (Twin launch post). Ask how that works before an agent handles a client’s data.

In Twin’s favor, its newer privacy policy (July 17, 2026) makes it your data processor for customer content, used only on your documented instructions, and it never uses Google user data to “train proprietary or third-party machine-learning models” (Twin privacy policy).

Run artifacts that contain Google data, such as logs and screenshots, are deleted within 30 days unless you set a different period. Its T&C cap each side’s liability at the fees paid to Twin in the 12 months before a claim, with exceptions for gross negligence and willful misconduct (Twin T&C).

First-hand

What you’ll see in DoAny: idea to first sale, with spending capped

This is the flow that matters most against Twin: what runs on its own, what waits for you, and what happens when credits run out. The selling chapter of our how-to guide covers checkout in more depth.

  1. Research before anything is built

Describe the idea in plain words. Annie researches your idea and your market first, so you learn whether it holds up before anything ships. The Free plan includes this research.

  2. A live address the same day

During the first build, the site publishes to its own yourname.doany.site address with HTTPS, and DoAny emails you when it’s live. After that, changes land on a private preview, and the live site changes only when you press Publish. A failed build never replaces the working version. The Studio’s Code and Data views show every source file and every record, and you can export them or sync the code to GitHub.

  3. “Set up payments” or “Not now”

Annie asks before adding payments, on a card with those two buttons. Press “Set up payments” and she wires Stripe checkout through DoAny’s backend, with no API keys or webhooks for you to set up. In the preview, pay with Stripe test cards before you give Stripe any details.

  4. “Go live” in the Payments panel

Pick your country and complete Stripe’s own verification. Sole traders can sell; you don’t need a registered company (DoAny payments docs). It works on the Free plan, so Pro isn’t needed to take real payments. Payments land in your own Stripe Express account, and refunds are handled in its dashboard, opened from the same panel.

  5. Recurring work waits for a button

A new scheduled task, a connected outside account, a saved automation or a paid video render each stop at an approval card. Typing “yes” in chat doesn’t count. The Social page’s “Start render” card shows the estimated credit cost first, and you can stop Annie mid-task with one click.

  6. At zero credits, work pauses and the site doesn’t

AI work pauses and DoAny tells you; the site, database and checkout stay online. Usage history shows what each conversation cost in credits. Resume with a Pro top-up (a Stripe checkout you start), an upgrade or tomorrow’s 5 daily credits.

Moving over

Switching from Twin, or using both

You may not need to switch everything. If one back-office job needs a portal with no API, keep it on Twin and run the business in DoAny: once the agent is built, a weekly 20-step browser run uses 400–1,000 credits a month, inside Mini’s 2,000 for €20. DoAny can sell on its Free plan, so the pair can cost just that €20. If you’re moving an agent-backed app or a Twin Store product, go in this order:

  1. Take out what Twin exports. The REST API returns each agent’s instructions and their version history, plus runs and schedules (Twin REST API docs). Interfaces app code, generated integration code and agent tables have no documented export, and browser logins stay in Twin’s cloud browser (Twin Web Agent docs). The full exit checklist, including section 6 of the T&C on what Twin calls “competitive platforms” (Twin T&C), is in our Twin alternatives guide.
  2. Bring what you have into DoAny. Give Annie the exported instructions and the screens your customers used. If you have code or database records, such as records you copied out of Twin or a site of your own, bring those too; DoAny imports them, so you don’t start over. Annie wires in accounts and checkout. Customer passwords don’t come across; each customer signs in again or resets their password. Outside services go through backend functions, with your API keys kept in DoAny’s encrypted secrets vault.
  3. Move payments deliberately. Twin Store sales already land in your own Stripe account. DoAny opens a new Stripe Express account for the business; checkout on a DoAny site can’t take over an existing Stripe account yet, so current subscribers need to subscribe again at the new checkout. Tell them before you switch the old one off.
  4. Point your domain. Every DoAny site gets a yourname.doany.site address. On Pro, connect your own domain from the Domains panel: DoAny shows the DNS records, verifies them and issues HTTPS. Cloudflare-proxied (orange-cloud) records aren’t supported.
  5. Cancel Twin with notice. Twin’s T&C need 15 days’ written notice before the monthly renewal (Twin T&C). Spend any top-up credits first; they lapse with the subscription (Twin pricing).

For other tools, see the Twin alternatives shortlist or all our comparisons.

Common questions

DoAny vs Twin FAQ

Is Twin an AI company builder like DoAny?

Partly. Twin’s launch post and its docs still call it an AI company builder, but its homepage leads with “The AI employee that runs your business”: agents that run recurring jobs across your apps and the web. DoAny builds the business itself: research first, then a hosted web app with accounts, data and checkout, then daily growth work.

Which is cheaper, Twin or DoAny?

For running a business, DoAny: Free costs $0 and already includes hosting, the database and checkout, and a Free account can go live and take real card payments. Pro at $25 a month adds your own domain and more credits. For recurring agent jobs, Twin is built for the work: Mini is €20 a month for 2,000 credits, about 20 tasks. A daily 20-step browser job uses 3,000 to 6,000 credits a month, so it needs Mini+ at €50 or more.

Do Twin or DoAny take a cut of my sales?

No. Twin Store says a $10 sale puts $10 in your Stripe account, and DoAny takes 0% on every plan, Free included, with payments going to your own Stripe account. Stripe’s processing fees apply to both. The difference is cost of goods: each Twin Store subscriber gets their own agent, and it runs on your credits. On DoAny, hosting and checkout use no credits; only AI work, such as Annie answering customers, does.

What happens when my credits run out?

On DoAny, AI work pauses and DoAny tells you; nothing recharges, the site stays live, and work resumes with a Pro top-up, an upgrade or the next day’s credits. Twin’s docs say a build already running finishes, then paid users can top up or wait for renewal. Its pricing table lists top-up as Manual on Mini and “Auto” on Mini+ and Pro.

Can DoAny do the browser jobs Twin does?

No. DoAny has no browser agent that logs into other sites and fills in forms, and no big connector marketplace; Annie reaches other services by writing a backend function with your API key. If a job needs a portal with no API, keep that one job on Twin and run the business in DoAny.

Does Twin or DoAny train AI on my data?

DoAny does not train AI models on your data. Twin’s newer privacy policy (July 17, 2026) treats customer content as data it processes for you, on your documented instructions; it says Google user data is never used to “train proprietary or third-party machine-learning models”, and its model providers may not use your data to improve their general models. The catch is Twin’s older T&C, which still license your Service Data to Twin for the contract term plus 3 years.

Source record

Sources and method

We checked every source below on September 25, 2026. Where Twin’s pages disagree, we use the newest: its T&C still price the service at “0.05€/step”, while its pricing page sells credits, and its docs call every paid tier “Pro” where the pricing page says Mini, Mini+, Pro and Max. On data, Twin’s T&C and its newer privacy policy cover different ground, so we quote both. The cost figures are our arithmetic on those published prices. DoAny facts are first-hand, because we build it. Prices exclude tax and Stripe fees.
