How to get customers to find your business
This is where most new companies die: built, launched, and invisible. Getting found used to mean learning marketing or paying for ads. Neither is required anymore. This chapter is how a brand-new business gets seen by the right people, and what doany does about it every day.
Built, but invisible
A live site with no visitors is a sign in a field. The question after launch is simple: when your first customer goes looking for a solution, do you show up?
Nobody finds you by accident. They find you because you are where they look, saying the words they use, in the format they actually pay attention to.
Where customers actually look now
In 2026, a buyer’s search starts in four places, often all of them for the same purchase:
- Google. Still the front door for anyone typing a problem into a box.
- AI answers. More people ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Google’s AI what to use. Those tools recommend businesses they can find and understand.
- Social feeds. Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, depending on your customer. Being seen there regularly is how you stop being a stranger.
- Communities. Reddit, forums, groups. Where people ask “does anyone know a…” and trust the answer more than an ad.
You do not have to be everywhere. You have to be where your first customer is, and be there consistently.
Earn a spot on Google
Google sends people to pages that answer their question clearly and honestly. No trick, no budget. The work is writing pages that genuinely answer what your customers type, one question at a time.
- One page per real question. “How much does mobile dog grooming cost?” deserves its own page, with an actual answer.
- Plain words. Use the phrases customers use, not industry names.
- Be specific. A page that says who it is for and names real numbers earns more trust than a generic one.
- Keep going. Search rankings take weeks to months. Most businesses stop before it works.
Become the answer when someone asks AI
When a customer asks an AI assistant “what is a good tool for…”, the assistant answers from what it can read: your site, your pages, what other people say about you. It rewards businesses that are clear about who they serve and what they do.
- Say plainly what you are and who it is for, on every important page.
- Answer the obvious questions in full sentences: price, how it works, what is included.
- Keep facts consistent across your site so there is nothing to doubt.
doany builds your site this way from the start and keeps the facts straight, so when someone asks AI what to use, you are a business it can confidently recommend.
On TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, video is the front door
People do not read about new products any more. They watch. A short video is how someone meets your business on TikTok, on Instagram Reels, and in the Facebook feed, and it is the one format that can put a brand-new company in front of thousands of strangers without an ad budget.
Which is a problem, because making video used to mean a camera, an editor, and taste. Founders who try it usually make one, watch it do nothing, and quietly stop.
The hard part is knowing what to make, and that is the part doany changes.
Start from what already works
Guessing at video ideas is slow and expensive, so doany does not guess. It shows you what is already running in your market: real ads, pulled from the ad library Facebook and Instagram publish, with the actual video, the headline, the words, the button, and the page they send people to.
The number that matters sits on every one of them: how many days it has been running. Nobody keeps paying to run a video that is not working. An ad still live after ninety days is a tested idea, paid for by someone else and sitting in front of you.
Pick one and doany can take it apart scene by scene: where the hook lands, how the shot is framed, the camera angle, how each cut moves, and how long each beat runs. You learn why it works, not just that it did.
Then make your version
A proven structure is worth nothing until it is about your product. doany makes your version two ways, and neither needs a camera.
- From a template. Pick one from the catalog and doany rebuilds it around your business: five or six scenes, about twenty to thirty seconds, 1080p, with narration in a voice you choose, a music bed, sound effects, and captions burned into the picture. Your words, your colors, your product shots. The timing, motion, and composition that made it work stay locked.
- From a reference ad. Take an ad out of the market feed and doany remakes its structure as a short generated spot of five to twenty seconds, built around your product instead of theirs. It borrows the craft, never the other brand’s claims.
You are not handed a black box. Before anything is generated you see the whole plan: the scenes and their timing, the motion, every line of editable copy, the brand colors, the product images, the narration script, the voice, the music, the sound effects, and the captions, laid out scene by scene.
You decide
- Which proven ad to build on
- The script, the voice, and the look
- Approving the render, knowing the cost
- Posting it to your own accounts
doany does
- Finding what is running and how long it has run
- Breaking down the hook, framing, and timing
- Rebuilding it around your product
- Narration, music, sound, and captions
Nothing renders until you say so
Generating video costs real money, so it waits behind an explicit approval rather than a sentence in a chat. The card asks whether to start the render, shows the cost before you spend it, and gives you a box to describe what should change instead.
That cost comes from the same code that charges you, so the two cannot drift apart. And if doany cannot prove the version you reviewed is the version about to render, the approve button stays disabled instead of guessing. The rule exists because it already caught a mismatch in production, before any money moved.
Be useful in communities, not loud
Reddit and forums hate advertising and love help. The way in is to answer the question honestly, mention what you do only when it is genuinely the answer, and follow every community’s rules.
doany can search Reddit for the threads where your customers are already asking for exactly what you built, so you are not hunting for them. Writing and posting the reply stays yours. Communities can tell the difference, and a straight answer from the founder is worth more than anything automated.
Why you never need to run an ad
Ads work until you stop paying. Everything in this chapter compounds instead: pages keep answering, posts keep piling up, and the community remembers who helped. That is why doany does it this way. It has no ad account to plug your card into, and it never spends your money on media.
Be careful with tools that will run ads from your account for you. Spend you did not choose, sometimes with a cut taken on that spend too, is the fastest way to turn a small profit into a loss. If you want ads later, run them yourself, to a site that already converts, which is when ads actually pay.
Measure what matters
Ignore likes. Watch three numbers: how many people visited, how many did the thing the site asks (bought, booked, signed up), and where those people came from. doany reports these plainly, so a weekly glance tells you what to do more of.
Next: people are arriving. Chapter IV is turning that interest into money, without you having to sell.

Questions, answered plainly
Get found: FAQs
How does a new business get found on Google?
By publishing pages that answer the specific questions customers type, in the words they use, and keeping at it for months. doany writes and publishes those pages continuously. Nobody can guarantee rankings, but the work that earns them can be done every day.
How do I get recommended by ChatGPT or other AI tools?
AI assistants recommend businesses they can find and understand. Make your site say plainly who it is for and what it does, answer the obvious questions in full, and keep facts consistent. doany builds and maintains your site this way.
Do I need to run ads to get customers?
No. The doany approach is search, AI visibility, and video built from what already works in your market, none of which stops working when you stop paying. doany never spends your money on ads. Ads are optional later, run by you, once your site already converts.
How do I know which video ideas actually work?
doany searches the ad library Facebook and Instagram publish and shows you the ads running in your market, including how many days each has been running. Brands do not keep paying for ads that fail, so a long-running ad is a tested idea you can learn from and rebuild around your own product.
Does doany post to my social accounts?
No. doany makes the video and the words; posting is yours to do from your own accounts. Nothing is ever published under your name without you, and doany never needs the keys to your social profiles.
