DoAny vs Runable: ads and native apps from $20, or a live site that sells from $0?

Runable’s Free plan can’t build a website, so selling there starts on Pro at $20 a month. DoAny Free goes live and can take card payments for $0; on your own domain, Runable Pro billed yearly costs $120 less in year one.

  • Runable’s yearly price is a first-year price: $180 ($240 list, less a 25% code), paid up front, and its terms say fees are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise. Runable doesn’t publish what the yearly plan renews at. Billed monthly, the same 12 months would cost $240. DoAny bills monthly only.
  • By default a Runable site “Sleeps between visits” and “Loads in 3–5 sec.” Its “Always On” setting costs credits every month, in an amount Runable doesn’t publish, and downgrading stops its published sites. On DoAny, hosting uses no credits and the site stays live at zero credits.
  • Stripe’s processing fees apply on both and are left out. DoAny takes 0% of your sales; Runable publishes no fee on them.
  • Plan prices only: top-ups (Runable doesn’t publish its prices), a domain you buy, and the Apple ($99 a year) and Google Play ($25 once) developer accounts Runable’s native apps need aren’t included. A Runable credit and a DoAny credit buy different work. DoAny Free’s $0 holds as long as 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month, covers your work; Pro, from $25 a month, adds 100 monthly credits.

What it isOne AI agent, Annie, that researches your idea, builds a web app with accounts, a database and Stripe checkout, then posts daily and answers customers (DoAny homepage). One general agent “to turn an idea into a business, run the work, and keep it growing” (Runable homepage): websites, native apps, slides, video, research and Grow’s marketing agents.
Free plan$0 with no card: unlimited companies sharing 5 credits a day (up to 30 a month). Live on yourname.doany.site, and it can take real card payments (DoAny pricing).$0 with 1,500 credits a day. The card shows a dash for “Websites & App building,” and the plan data lists “No Data Export” (Runable pricing).
Cheapest plan that builds and sellsFree, $0. Pro from $25/mo for 100 monthly credits plus 5 a day adds a domain you own; monthly billing only (DoAny pricing).Pro: $20/mo billed monthly, or $180 for the first year as shown: a $240 list price less a 25% code (discount codes); no renewal price is published. Max: $100/mo.

Nothing recharges automatically (DoAny pricing).Pro: 25,000 a month plus 1,500 a day, with daily credits capped at 15,000 a month, so at most 40,000. Top-ups “never expire” but have no published price (Runable FAQ).
HostingIncluded on every plan and uses no credits. At zero credits, work pauses and DoAny tells you, and the site stays live (credits guide).By default a site “Sleeps between visits” and takes 3 to 5 seconds; “Always On” costs credits a month, amount unpublished, and a downgrade stops published sites (app text).
Fee on your sales0%. DoAny’s standard Terms rule out a revenue share. Stripe’s processing fees still apply (DoAny Terms).None published, and none ruled out: the pricing page, FAQ and terms don’t mention one. Web sales go to your own Stripe account (archived payments guide).
Paid adsDoAny buys no ads. The Social page remakes a proven ad from your market as a 5–20 second video that you download and post yourself.Plans, launches and manages campaigns on ChatGPT, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok (Grow page). Budgets come from a prepaid dollar “Ads balance”.
Native appsWeb only. The app is responsive, and customers can add it to their home screen.React Native iOS and Android apps, submitted under your own Apple and Google developer accounts (app builder).
Your own domainOn Pro, connect a domain you own; DoAny verifies the DNS records and issues HTTPS (domains guide). DoAny doesn’t sell domains.“Use your own domain” with SSL, per the websites page; building a site needs a paid plan. The app also offers to buy a domain.

ContractMonthly billing only. You can cancel anytime, the plan runs to the end of the paid month, and everything you built stays yours (DoAny pricing).Terms last updated January 8, 2026. Fees are “non-refundable unless required by law,” and plan limits are “described at checkout or in your account dashboard” (Runable Terms).

Where DoAny is different

DoAny vs Runable: four differences that change what you pay

You can sell before you pay anything

DoAny Free publishes your product on yourname.doany.site and can take real card payments once you go live with Stripe, for $0 and 0% of your sales; Stripe’s own fees still apply. Runable’s pricing page lists building websites and Stripe on Pro, so testing an idea for three months costs $60 there and $0 here.

Your site doesn’t sleep or lapse

DoAny’s hosting is included and uses no credits, on Free as on Pro, so the site stays live when credits run out. By default a Runable site sleeps between visits and takes 3 to 5 seconds to wake; keeping it “Always On” costs credits every month, and a downgrade stops published sites, according to its app text. In May 2026 its help center still said deploying a site “does not cost credits” (archived deploy guide).

No money of yours waits with DoAny

On both, web sales land in a Stripe account in your name. The difference is everything else. DoAny holds no ad balance, issues no card and never recharges: spending can’t exceed the credits you chose to buy. Runable prepays ad budgets from a balance that can refill from your card, and its optional credit auto-refill buys top-ups up to a monthly limit you set (Runable FAQ). It also says Grow gets its own card with a balance and limits you set.

0% of your sales, in writing

DoAny’s DoAny Terms rule out equity and a revenue share, and DoAny does not train AI models on your data. Stripe’s processing fees still apply. Runable publishes no fee on sales but doesn’t rule one out, and its privacy policy says nothing about the data your own customers type into a site it builds.

Runable’s edge

Where Runable is stronger

Several of these are things DoAny doesn’t do at all. If one of them is the heart of your plan, Runable is the better fit.

Mobile

Native iOS and Android apps

Runable builds React Native apps with sign-in, push notifications and store submission; you “Connect your Apple and Google developer accounts and submit,” per its app builder page. Its archived help center put those accounts at $99 a year for Apple and $25 once for Google Play (shipping guide). DoAny is web-only.

Ads

It buys and manages your ads

Grow plans, launches and manages campaigns across ChatGPT, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok. Runable told TechCrunch that running ads without your own ad account is currently available on ChatGPT; TechCrunch’s own test stopped until an ad account was connected. DoAny buys no ads: it remakes a proven ad as a video you post yourself.

Phone and outreach

Calls, cold email and a support inbox

Runable’s Grow announcement describes cold outreach by email, DMs and calls “with a real voice agent on a real phone number.” The Grow page adds social listening and an agent for your support inbox. DoAny has no SMS or phone.

Price

Cheaper once you need a paid plan

Runable Pro is $20 a month against $25 for DoAny Pro, and $180 for the first year as shown against $300 for twelve months of DoAny Pro, which has no annual plan. Runable’s top-ups also “never expire” (Runable FAQ); DoAny’s last 12 months.

Everyday agent

More jobs beyond the business itself

Slides, image and video, documents and research, a meeting notetaker, dictation, use from Slack, Teams, Telegram, iMessage and Discord, and “3000+ plugins” (pricing page). Its Free plan gives 1,500 credits a day for chat and research.

Scale and extras

Invoices, domains and an enterprise path

Its small-business page offers raising invoices and sending “the polite reminder on day 14.” The app offers to buy a domain for you, and SSO and data localization are available through sales (homepage). Runable raised a $21M Series A in August 2026, and its CEO told TechCrunch it has about 1.7 million registered users.

Two more limits matter in this matchup. DoAny has no drag-and-drop editor: you edit by telling Annie what to change, and every change is saved as a numbered version rather than restored from a rollback screen. And the checkout on the sites DoAny builds is Stripe only, with no coupons, free trials or sales-tax handling at the moment.

Arithmetic on published prices

Runable pricing vs DoAny pricing: which is cheaper?

Heavy users should look past Pro. A customer quoted in Runable’s Grow announcement says he used “like 300,000 credits” in 30 days, 12 times Pro’s 25,000 monthly credits, which points to Max or to top-ups at prices Runable doesn’t publish. Runable’s CEO also told TechCrunch the company currently has negative gross margins, partly because it subsidizes AI usage. Allowances that generous can change, as the table shows, so check the date on any Runable price you read, ours included.

Before you pay yearly

Runable’s fine print worth reading

Six details you would regret missing

The contract predates the product. Runable’s Runable Terms were last updated January 8, 2026, before payments, mobile apps and Grow launched, and they never mention ads, an ads balance or mobile apps. Fees are “non-refundable unless required by law,” and Runable “may update pricing or plans with reasonable notice.”

Downgrading takes your sites offline. The downgrade dialog warns “Your published websites and apps will stop working” (app text). Keeping a site online means paying every month, or a year up front.

The yearly price is a first-year discount. The $180 shown for Pro is its $240 list price less a 25% code applied on the page; Max is $1,200 less 30% (discount codes). No public page says what the plan renews at.

Ad money is prepaid, with no terms. Ads “use dollars, not credits,” and the budget card shows a “$0 platform fee” (app text). No published page covers refunds of the ads balance or the terms of the “Limited Time” ad credit, which fell from $100 to $50 on Pro in September.

The no-training promise is narrow. The Runable privacy policy says “We do not sell your personal data,” and its explicit no-training commitment covers Google user data. The terms license your content for “Providing and improving the Services.”

You may not know whom you contract with. The terms name no company, put disputes under “the jurisdiction in which Runable is incorporated,” and cap liability at what you paid in the previous 12 months.

Getting paid

What you’ll see in DoAny when you add payments

Runable connects a Stripe account you already have or create. DoAny opens one for your business, so there are no keys or webhooks to set up, and taking payments uses no credits.

  1. Approve payments on a card

Ask Annie for checkout. She answers with an approval card, “Set up payments” and “Not now,” and adds nothing until you press one. There is no ads balance or agent card to fund: DoAny holds no money of yours.

  2. Test with Stripe’s test cards

The editor preview runs in test mode, so you pay with Stripe’s test cards before Stripe sees any of your details (payments setup guide). Runable connects a Stripe account you already have or create.

  3. Go live on Free

Press Go live in the Payments panel, pick your country and complete Stripe’s verification. Selling on Free needs no Pro plan, where Runable’s Free plan can’t build a site at all. The selling online chapter has the full steps, from first product to first payout.

Switching

Moving from Runable to DoAny, in order

Order matters, because a downgrade stops Runable sites. For an exit checklist that fits any destination, see the Runable alternatives guide.

  1. Export the code while you’re still paying

Download the code or export it to GitHub, as Runable describes. The Free plan’s plan data lists “No Data Export,” so do this while you are still on a paid plan.

  2. Get your records out

Runable’s archived help center said you can’t download a database backup from the dashboard, and we found no current statement either way. Ask support@runable.com how to export your tables before you cancel.

  3. Import and test in DoAny

Hand Annie the code and records you exported: DoAny imports them, so you don’t rebuild from a description. Customer passwords don’t move: customers sign in again or reset them. Check the preview, then run a test purchase.

  4. Plan the payments move

Checkout on a DoAny site can’t take over an existing Stripe account yet, so going live opens a new Stripe Express account. Subscriptions in the Stripe account you used with Runable stay there; ask subscribers to resubscribe on the new checkout, and settle refunds first.

  5. Stop ads and settle balances

Pause every campaign from the Ads Agent, and ask Runable about any ads balance left over: we found no published refund terms for it. Ad accounts you connected yourself stay yours.

  6. Move the domain, then downgrade

Connect your domain in DoAny’s Domains panel on Pro and point its DNS records at DoAny; Cloudflare-proxied records aren’t supported. If you bought the domain inside Runable, ask Runable how to transfer it. Downgrade last, once the new site is live.

Common questions

DoAny vs Runable FAQ

Is Runable cheaper than DoAny?

It depends on whether DoAny’s Free plan covers you. If you want your own domain or more than Free’s 30 credits a month, Runable is cheaper. Pro costs $20 a month, or $180 for the first year as shown, against $25 a month for DoAny Pro ($300 over 12 months, monthly billing only). If yourname.doany.site is enough, DoAny costs less: Free goes live and can take real card payments for $0, while Runable’s Free plan can’t build a website.

Can I build a website and sell on Runable’s free plan?

No. Runable’s Free plan shows a dash for “Websites & App building,” and Stripe, the free subdomain and app building are listed on Pro. The Free plan is for chat, research and daily credits: 1,500 a day, up to 15,000 a month. DoAny Free publishes your product on yourname.doany.site with no card and can take real card payments once you go live with Stripe.

Does Runable or DoAny take a cut of my sales?

Neither publishes one. DoAny takes 0% of your sales on every plan, Free included, and its standard Terms rule out a revenue share; Stripe’s processing fees apply. Runable publishes no fee on sales and doesn’t rule one out; web sales go to the Stripe account you connect, so Stripe’s fees apply. For native app sales, its archived help center (June 2026) says Apple and Google “take 15-30%,” while its live app builder page says purchases are “wired through Stripe.”

Can Runable spend money on my behalf?

Yes, within limits you set and approve. Ad budgets come out of a prepaid ads balance a day before each campaign day runs, and that balance can refill from your card when you approve. Credit auto-refill, if switched on, buys top-ups up to a monthly limit you set, and Runable says Grow gets its own card with limits you set. DoAny doesn’t buy ads, has no card or balance and never recharges: you spend only credits you chose to buy.

What happens to my Runable site if I stop paying?

Runable’s app warns, when you downgrade, that “Your published websites and apps will stop working.” Export your code while you are on a paid plan, because the Free plan’s plan data lists “No Data Export.” On DoAny, hosting is included on every plan, Free included, and uses no credits, so the site stays live at zero credits.

Does Runable use my data to train AI?

Runable’s privacy policy, last updated August 2026, says it does not sell your personal data. Its explicit no-training commitment covers Google user data, and its terms license your content for “Providing and improving the Services.” The policy doesn’t address data your own customers submit to a site you build. DoAny does not train AI models on your data.
