Where DoAny is different
After launch Annie posts every day, finds customers and follows up, runs your CRM and answers customers around the clock. Taskade sells the machinery for this: Pro runs background agents 24/7, and Max adds autonomous agents, but you decide which agents to build and connect Gmail or Slack yourself. In DoAny the growth work is Annie’s job from day one, working from your saved brief and her market research.
Every DoAny app runs on a hosted backend with customer sign-up, login, password reset and a database with access rules Annie sets for each type of record. Once you approve it on a card, Annie adds Stripe checkout that pays into your own Stripe account, even on the Free plan. In Taskade, sign-in is in beta and row matching (the filter that hides other clients’ records) is off until you configure it, and Stripe needs a paid plan plus a key you paste into an automation.
Custom domains are part of DoAny Pro at $25 a month: you connect a domain you already own. Taskade puts them on Business: $50 a month, or $300 for the year charged up front with no refund for unused months. The worked example shows what that costs if you stop early. Taskade can also sell you a domain in-app and set up its DNS; DoAny doesn’t sell domains, so you buy one from a registrar and add the records the Domains panel shows.
You can export your code and data and walk away anytime, and your code can sync to GitHub. Taskade’s .tsk download needs Pro and imports into a Taskade workspace; its GitHub export pushes that bundle as “a single portable file”. Project data leaves as CSV or JSON, so the app itself gets rebuilt elsewhere. Moving in works too: DoAny imports your existing code and database records, so switching doesn’t mean starting from scratch.
The honest trade-offs
If you need a shared workspace for a team, these points matter more than anything DoAny does for founders.
Taskade Pro includes 10 users at $10 a month billed yearly, and Business covers unlimited users. For a team that doesn’t need its own domain, that is well under DoAny Pro’s $300 a year, and DoAny has no annual plan to bring its price down.
Projects, real-time sync and several project views sit behind every app, you can clone community apps, and desktop and mobile apps come with every plan, Free included. DoAny is web only; your customers can add your app to their home screen.
Gmail, Slack, Stripe, Salesforce and HubSpot connect on any paid plan, with API access, SAML SSO and admin controls on Business and SCIM (automatic user provisioning) on Enterprise. DoAny has no SSO and no connector marketplace: Annie reaches another service by writing a backend function that uses your API key.
Taskade’s FAQ says you can use version history to roll back changes. DoAny saves every change as its own numbered version, but has no one-click rollback.
Taskade’s extra-credit packs stack on your monthly allowance and its pricing page says “Keep unused credits forever.” DoAny top-ups last 12 months, and monthly credits don’t roll over.
Taskade’s storefront guide adds promo codes checked by an automation and a portal where subscribers pause, upgrade or cancel. The checkout on the sites DoAny builds has no coupons or free trials at the moment.
Taskade’s terms say it does not use your workspace content to train generalized AI models, and that its agreements bar its AI providers from doing so. DoAny doesn’t train AI models on your data either; Taskade’s written terms go further by covering its providers.

The difference is commitment: stop DoAny after three months and you’ve spent $75; a prepaid Taskade year is $300 spent on day one. Credit counts aren’t comparable units, because each product’s credit buys different work. Current plan sizes: DoAny pricing and Taskade pricing.
Before you pay
Client portals need a filter you turn on. The App Users guide says sign-in “does not automatically hide unrelated Project rows.” Row matching is opt-in and off by default, and the App Users table doesn’t send invitation or password-reset emails. Test two client accounts and one unmatched account before you publish private data.
“Unlimited” automations have a run cap. Pro lists unlimited AI automations and allows 1,000 automation runs per seat a month; Free allows 10. Taskade’s storefront build ships five automations for its order flow, and Taskade doesn’t say whether one order counts as one run or five.
The 50% yearly price is paid up front and isn’t refundable. Annual checkout charges the full year up front, $120 for Pro and $300 for Business, and the terms say “Payments are final.” The same terms let Taskade change plan prices from your next billing cycle after notice. They also say credit allocations and consumption rates “may change as models and features evolve”, with no notice period stated.
Your model choice decides where AI requests go. Taskade’s privacy policy names model providers based in China, including Alibaba (Qwen) and DeepSeek, and says that on Auto your plan’s default routing picks the provider. Choosing a model counts as consent to the transfer, so pick models yourself if a client contract limits where data can go.
First-hand
Six steps, in the order a founder sees them.
Tell Annie the business in a sentence or two, in any language. She researches your idea and your market first, and tells you when she can’t read a source.
The first version publishes to its own yourname.doany.site address with HTTPS the same day, and DoAny emails you when it’s live. After that, changes land on a private preview. The live site changes only when you press Publish, and a failed build never replaces the working version.
Annie asks before adding payments, with two buttons: “Set up payments” or “Not now”. Typing “yes” in chat doesn’t count. The work waits, marked as needing you, until you choose.
The preview takes Stripe test cards before you give Stripe any details, for one-off purchases and weekly, monthly or yearly subscriptions; customers can buy without an account. Then, in the Payments panel, choose Go live (the Free plan can take real card payments too), pick your country and finish Stripe’s own verification; a sole trader is fine. Businesses registered in 42 countries can take live payments, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia and every EU country. Orders and payouts show in the same panel.
The Code view shows every source file and the Data view every table and record. One switch in SEO & AEO turns on page titles, a sitemap, structured data and an llms.txt, and “Fix with AI” on the checklist hands the fixes to Annie.
When Annie sets up a new recurring task, it starts only after you approve it on a card, and connecting an outside account waits for a card too. You can pause a recurring task from its page or by asking Annie, and stop her mid-task with one click. On the Social page she shows ads already running in your market and remakes one as a 5–20 second video. The “Start render” card shows the estimated credit cost first, and you download the finished video.
Moving over
Taskade can’t hand you a running copy of your app, so its screens, agents and automations get rebuilt. Your data doesn’t start over: DoAny imports your existing database records. Keep Taskade running until the new version works, and go in this order.

Questions founders ask
For a solo founder selling on yourname.doany.site, no: DoAny’s Free plan takes real card payments for $0, while Taskade’s Stripe needs a paid plan, from $120 a year up front. For a team, Taskade Pro covers 10 users at that price. With your own domain, Taskade needs Business: $50 a month, or $300 prepaid. DoAny Pro connects a domain you already own for $25 a month, the same $300 over a full year without paying up front.
Neither. DoAny takes 0% of your sales on every plan, Free included, and its standard Terms rule out equity and revenue share. We found no Taskade fee on sales made through a Taskade app. The only share of sales in Taskade’s terms is on paid App Kits, which Taskade sells as merchant of record on a creator’s behalf. Stripe’s processing fees apply on both.
Not as a working app. A .tsk bundle needs Pro to download and imports into a Taskade workspace, and Taskade’s GitHub export pushes that same bundle as a single file. Project data exports as CSV or JSON. Moving to DoAny, you hand Annie your exported data and DoAny imports the records, so only the app gets rebuilt. From then on you can export your code and data anytime, and your code can sync to GitHub.
Both keep your published app online. Taskade stops generating when the balance hits zero and offers auto top-up on paid plans if you switch it on; credit packs you buy never expire. DoAny pauses AI work and tells you, with no overage and no automatic recharge. On DoAny Pro you can buy a top-up at $15 per 50 credits, valid 12 months, or wait for the next day’s 5 daily credits.

For a portal your existing team runs next to its projects, Taskade fits well, especially with its integrations and SAML SSO on Business. Turn on and test the per-client row filter first, because Taskade sign-in does not hide other clients’ records by default. If the portal is the product you plan to sell, DoAny builds it with customer accounts, access rules and checkout, then works on finding customers for it.
